              B.Tech. Computer Science & Engineering with a specialization in Cyber Security program is designed to address the industry’s increasing demand for skilled security professionals in the public and private sectors. This program is specifically meant to improve mindfulness and redesign the abilities of engineering graduates. The program is designed by industry experts keeping in mind the current industry needs vis-à-vis academic proficiency of the students. This specially designed program helps to bridge the gap between industry and academia so as to create an employable workforce ready to take on challenging roles in the domain of cybersecurity.
               This program also focuses on knowing the dark web, adversaries, and their tools, tactics, and procedures (TTP). Using this knowledge students can build intelligence-led security programs, where the intelligence gathered on the field about adversaries leads to security decisions and investments. This program builds a solid foundation towards understanding various aspects of Cyber Intelligence and provides a quick kick start towards targeted and result-oriented threat research.
Skills & Competencies Acquired

  • Would work on Network & O/S Security: – IPS/Firewall (Proventia, PIX), Windows & Linux
  • Shall be responsible to look into Log Review, Analysis & Correlation (Routers, firewalls, switches, Windows, Linux)
  • Vulnerability Assessment (Tools: Saint, ISS, etc.)
  • Evaluate logs and data for an information security review of IPS, Firewalls, Routers, Core Switch, Windows Servers Logs, LINUX Server Logs.
  • Publish analytical reports to the intranet web server for product dissemination.
  • Monitor industry warnings and messages for all system patches, virus activity, and upgrades to maintain the overall information security integrity of the enterprise. Inform and recommend a course of action to information security management.
  • Knowledge of TCP/ IP networking; experience in securing Windows and Unix Server Systems (security updates, account management).
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and handle emergency situations (including nights and weekends).
  • Attention to detail: Promotes innovation, creativity, and effectiveness, always striving for continuous improvement.
